-You absolutely must use a stud finder. It held me no problem.
So, if that'll bother you don't buy it.-The TV hangs off the wall so you can see the wall mount very obviously from the side.In summary, this wall mount does its job nicely for the price. -My TV is 40" you can see the wall mount behind the TV from almost any angle except straight on.
Not a bad value, here are some observations:-Directions are sufficient. -I hung from the wall plate (I weigh 180) when we were finished mounting it to test.
It's not quite as nice and streamlined as my roommate's mount, but his was over $200.00. It took me about 45 minutes with the help of my roommate.
Once you are in the studs it is very stable.
HIGHLY recommend this. The only thing we aren't real crazy about is the top it does seem out fairly far from the wall, but we did want a tilting bracket. I'm sooo glad I found this online rather than spending $200 or more in the stores. This was easy to install and looks great.
I was surprised at how quick we hung the TV to the wall bracket - it matched right up.A great price too. Mount the bracket to the studs on the wall, install the hanging piece on the back of the TV (easy to do) and hang the tv mount to the bracket and lock it in. This product is perfect as everyone has described. It took me over 30 minutes to install, but I measure more than once and over stress on getting it right the first time. This works great for my 42" Toshiba flat screen.
The only things not included are a stud finder and wrench for the mounting bolts. It can handle from 40" up to a 70" set, and can handle curved or flat backs. It has a variety of screws, bolts, anchors and even an allen wrench for mounting. After researching the cost of a tilt mount at local big box stores, most were in the $175-$250 level for my 52" LCD TV. Great value. It was delivered in 3 days, and is easy to mount with up to a 15 degree tilt. I found this mount on line for under $50. Perfect for my needs.
Not recommend for big screen TV. It was difficult for me to attach to the wall and the tilt adjust knob was broken before I actually hang the TV. The Mount that I received was not the one that is shown here. If this one is not in the stock then need to be removed from the list. The one that got is somewhat similar.
